CarbonX PEEK+CF10
CarbonX 10% Carbon Fiber Reinforced PEEK+CF10 3D Filament
CarbonX PEEK+CF10 is one of the premier polymers in FFF/FDM 3D Printing. Made using 10% high-modulus chopped carbon fiber for exceptional stiffness, strength, and dimensional stability.
PEEK is one of the highest performance thermoplastics ever invented. It is used in some of the most demanding applications such as seals, gears, bushings, bearings, and pump & compressor components. Industries such as Auto, Aerospace, Defense, Semi-conductor, and Oil/Gas depend on PEEK for applications where failure is not an option.
Print Carbon Fiber PEEK parts with Gearbox HT2 High-Temp 3D Printer.
CarbonX PEEK Properties Include:
- Superior Mechanical Properties, especially at elevated temperatures
- Excellent Chemical Resistance
- Low Coefficient of Linear Thermal Expansion (CTE)
- Near Zero Moisture Absorption
- Low smoke and toxic gas emissions
PEEK has an excellent resistance to hydrolysis in boiling water and superheated steam (sterilization/autoclave) at temperatures in excess of 250°C (482°F).
ThermaX PEI Ultem 9085
ThermaX PEI 3D Filament, Made using ULTEM 9085 PEI
The company manufactures this ultra-performance 3D printing filament using ULTEM 9085 PEI (polyether imide) resin. Filaments made from ULTEM 9085 resin offers the ability to create parts with excellent properties at elevated temperatures due to a high glass transition temperature (Tg) of 186°C. PEI is an amorphous, high-performance polymer that combines excellent thermal properties, exceptional dimensional stability, inherent flame retardancy, and good chemical resistance.
Product attributes include:
- High thermal properties; (Tg) of 186°C
- Inherent flame resistance with low smoke evolution and low smoke toxicity
- Long-term hydrolytic stability
- Excellent dimensional stability (low creep sensitivity and low, uniform coefficient of thermal expansion) and highly reproducible part-to-part dimensions
- Exceptional strength and modulus, even at elevated temperatures
- Good resistance to a broad range of chemicals, such as automotive fluids, fully halogenated hydrocarbons, alcohols, and aqueous solutions
- Stable dielectric constant and dissipation factor over a wide range of temperatures and frequencies
CarbonX Nylon PA6 + CF (GEN 3)
Gen3 CarbonX Carbon Fiber Nylon PA6 3D Filament
Gen 3 CarbonX CF-Nylon Filament is formulated using a PA6 copolymer reinforced with high-modulus carbon fiber. This filament is ideal for anyone that desires a structural component with high modulus, improved chemical and thermal resistance, excellent surface quality, and ease of printing. Gen3 has higher HDT than our previous grades (147°C at .45MPa) allowing for expanded use in higher-temp applications.
Carbon Fiber Printer: Print industrial-grade CF-NYLON parts with Gearbox HT2 High-Temp 3D Printer.
Open Source: You do not need to purchase a special printer for CarbonX CF-Nylon. Our CF Nylon (Gen 3) is suitable for use in practically any desktop 3D Printer that has a heated bed.
Hardened Nozzles: Carbon fiber reinforced filaments are abrasive and can wear out a brass or aluminum nozzle. We recommend A2 Hardened Steel Nozzles.
