PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) is a water-soluble support material for multi-extrusion 3D printing. With a good thermal stability, UltiMaker PVA is ideal for printing complex models that require supports for large overhangs, deep internal cavities, and intricate geometries. Designed for a seamless 3D printing experience, our PVA provides good adhesion to PLA, Tough PLA, CPE, and Nylon.

AquaSys GP is a water-soluble support material that is a replacement for PVA and is compatible with most polyesters.

UltiMaker Tough PLA is a technical PLA (polylactic acid) material with a toughness similar to ABS. It is ideal for printing functional prototypes and tooling at larger sizes – without fear of delamination or warping. Our Tough PLA offers the same safe and easy use as regular PLA.

MakerBot METHOD Extruders are built for high-speed printing without compromising part accuracy. The Support 2A Extruder is optimized for printing with soluble support material such as MakerBot PVA.

This is version 1.5 which includes a removable cap and set screw - allowing you to manually replace the nozzle and PTFE tube assembly to extend your extruder’s life more easily and affordably.
